BCTV reporter and former Quebecer Harvey Oberfeld returns to Quebec to explore the changes that have taken place in the province in the years since the Parti Québécois was elected in 1976. Changes include Quebec's poor economic outlook relative to that of Ontario and pro-separatist bias in Quebec's school curriculum. The report broadcast on October 2, 1995 is about the economic decline in Quebec and interviews a Quebec couple who moved to Ontario because in Quebec they would not be allowed to educate their daughter in English. The report broadcast on October 3, 1995 is about the increase in air traffic in Ontario compared to Quebec. The report of October 4, 1995 is about businesses leaving Quebec and moving to Ontario. The report shows a window-making company that moved from Quebec to Alexandria, Ontario. The report of October 5, 1995 is about the growing support by young Quebecers for sovereignty, fuelled possibly by biased text books. The October 6, 1995 report shows Oberfeld questioning an angry Lucien Bouchard at a news conference in Ottawa about Bouchard's federal pension, shows archival footage of Bouchard's various federal appointments and tallies the salary and pension, money Canada has or will pay Bouchard. Bouchard yells at Oberfeld during the news conference and asks reporters to ask a question in French, in response to which Oberfeld asks his question in French. <28mn>
