Bill Galloway presents three Canadian films produced between 1938 and 1948. SITZ MARKS THE SPOT, produced in 1948 by Associated Screen News, stars John Pratt as an average "man of the street" who is influenced by extensive promotion of skiing and finally gives the sport a try. The methods of skiing are described briefly, but the frustrations of learning are detailed by Pratt. MUSIC FROM THE STARS, an Associated Screen News film of 1938, stars Horace Lapp and his orchestra in Toronto. Singer Madelain Pedlar is featured. Gordon Sparling directed this film. GEOPOLOTIK - HITLER'S PLAN FOR EMPIRE, is one of the National Film Board's WORLD IN ACTION series that describes the Nazi strategy for conquering other lands based on the work of Karl Hausenhofer. Capture of the Suez Canal and the valuable oil fields in the area was a major stage in the plan that would take the Nazi army across the Mediterranean and southward through Africa. The Northward movement of U.N. forces to counteract Nazi plans are also shown. <30mn>
