Description:

Footage of parades and inspections of various regiments. Sam Hughes reviews a march past of kilted soldiers, possibly Canada's 16th Battalion. Hughes shakes hands with some of the troops and speaks with other officers. Soldiers march in front of their barracks at what appears to be either Val Cartier or Aldershot. Prime Minister Robert Borden addresses and reviews Canadian troops in England, circa 1917. A large crowd watches a parade of cavalry, horse-drawn artillery, infantry and motorized ambulances. Hughes and other top Canadian officers watch from horseback. Close-up of Hughes at a Canadian Red Cross Convalescent Hospital. McBride sits at his desk. <10mn>
