Ostend, Belgium, Peace Treaty Ratification Celebrated. Inhabitants celebrate the end of World War I in flag lined streets.~Brussels, Prince Leopold With the 12th Infantry Regiment. The Prince, on horseback, watches the unveiling of a monument. He then reviews veterans and decorates soldiers.~Grand Reconstruction Begun. The first train passes over a bridge built to replace the one destroyed by Germans on Armistice Day.~Nieuport. Scenes of the Nieuport Canal undergoing reconstruction. A soldier stands on the canal's wall. Water pours through the locks.~Dixmude. Temporary shelters erected to house civilians who can be seen returning by the truckload.~Battering The Hindenburg Line. French officers aid their soldiers to fit on a new simplified gas mask before going into battle.~The Western Front. French soldiers walk through the ruins of a train station.~After the Push. Scenes in a battle swept village on the Western Front.~Serbian Refugees Returning. As refugees go home, wagons of supplies arrive to start reconstruction.~Glorious Soldiers of France. French soldiers parade and are reviewed.~Thou Shall Not Pass - Noyon France. Desolate landscape shots with bombs exploding in distance, ruins can be seen. Two women sit in the rubble. German prisoners are fed.~On the Champagne Front. Destruction caused by air bombing on the Hurtubise plateau. French soldiers in the trench. Destroyed German fighter plane being inspected by the troops.~Respite for Germans. Shots of the battered countryside as French soldiers fire more artillery.~The Indomitable French.
