This film examines four young Canadian politicians - all of whom could be considered as future leaders of their political parties. Their sense of style and their policies are recorded by the cameras at their homes and in their offices, at political meetings, dances, airports, and railway stations. The film is made up of four miniature profiles on:~David MacDonald, age 30, Conservative Member of Parliament for Prince County, Prince Edward Island, a minister of the United Church of Canada.~Charles Taylor, age 35, not a member of Parliament but a leading member of the National Executive of the New Democratic Party. Professor Taylor teaches Philosophy at the University of Montreal and Political Science at McGill University: a Rhodes Scholar.~Jean Chretien, age 33, Liberal MP for St. Maurice-Lafleche, has been making headlines as a spirited Quebec supporter of Federalism. Now Minister of National Revenue.~John Turner, age 37, Liberal MP for St. Lawrence-Saint George, youngest member of the Cabinet, a lawyer and Rhodes Scholar. Now Minister of Consumer Affairs.~These four men are rising professionals with contemporary views who almost certainly will, in one way or another, influence the future of this country.
