CBC radio program produced live from Toronto. In this program, Albert Pratz and his orchestra entertain us with a program of songs including guest performers Phyllis Marshall, Esther Ghan and Roy Roberts. Host, Rod Coneybeare, dedicates the program to Ghana, noting that it is being broadcast to listeners there to welcome them as the newest member of the Commonwealth. The following songs are played by the orchestra: Come to the Mardi Gras, (no composer identified); Love Me Tender, from the Elvis Presley movie, is sung by Roy Roberts, with a Valentine poem he reads as introduction. The Sulky Race, by Canadian composer Fred Rowse; The Life for Me, lyric by Rod Coneybeare; melody and arrangemment by Albert Pratz, is sung by soprano, Esther Ghan. The host then elaborates his welcome to Ghanian listeners. Followed by, All the Things You Are, by Jerome Kern, arranged for the orchestra. Something Wonderful, from THE KING AND I, is sung by Phyllis Marshall. In closing, It's the Same Old Vienne, written by Albert Pratz, is sung by Roy Roberts. Theme music ends the show.<30mn>
