A compilation of ads urging Canadians to participate in discussions about reforming Canada's constitution. Some speakers give their impressions of the importance and beauty of Canada. Others state that it is important for Canadians to participate in the debate. The segments are: unidentified man speaking about what he knew about Canada when he was a boy (this clip is followed by the name W.O. Mitchell and appears to be an actor quoting Mitchell); Nancy Greene Raine about the current task of restructuring the constitution and the importance of getting involved in the dialogue that is now taking place; children talking about Canada; Marc Garneau about Canada and the constitution; a woman who became a Canadian citizen and praises the judge who told her that she could someday be prime minister because now she is a Canadian; Pierre Berton about the importance of Canada and participating in the debate about the constitution; an oil well worker who helped cap oil well fires (apparently in the desert, probably in Kuwait); a commercial headed "Unity -- The Issue of Our Time", followed by drawings of people turning a light bulb on and off and the closing title "Canada Turn It On"; another ad about national unity, also featuring voiceover and drawings; an ad using drawings to illustrate the importance of teamwork to reform the constitution; a clip of children and adults singing in English and French, followed by the words "Together From Sea to Sea"; more drawings of people, singing O Canada, and standing in a formation that from overhead depicts the Canadian flag; more scenes of various people, accompanied by a song, and the closing title Together From Sea to Sea; and a montage of various shots of Canadians including Terry Fox and Elizbabeth Manley, set to the song This Land was Made for You and Me. <15mn 26s>
