Gyles recorded his story in memoirs 48 years later. He was probably one of the first white settlers to give a detailed account of Indian customs and beliefs. Gyles returned to his New England home in 1698, after peace was made between the English and French. Incidental music by Steven Freygood is based on authentic 17th century English and French melodies. Indian ceremonial music recorded in the Maritimes is also featured. <57mn>Language:EnglishDetailed holdings information: -
