The Exposition was held from May to November 1901. Venice in America was part of the Exposition’s midway and included a perfect replica of the living city, with palaces, shops, bridges and canals, gondolas and gondoliers. Visitors rode in the gondolas and were steered through the palace-lined waterways. This boat ride begins at the Triumphal Bridge, a center piece of the Pan-American Exposition. The Triumphal Bridge spans the Grand Canal between the Mirror Lakes and leads the visitor from the Fore Court to the Esplanade. From the perspective of the gondola passenger we can see foreign villages with picturesque types of architecture, the concessionaires and the many visitors who frequented the Pan-American midway. <10mn>Language:SilentNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
