Shot of RCAF Mitchell taking off on gravel strip. Lockheed Electra (CP Air) taxiing and taking off for its bi-weekly service run to the NWT. Various scenes of ground activity: caterpillar tractor towing construction equipment, drilling oil fields, putting out oil fire, and burning an oil drum for conversion into a bathtub.~Fort Smith, NWT: Various ground activity: Flight Officer Pearce shaving, a dark aerial shot of buffalo herd, and the dining tent after having collapsed from a wind storm. Forest fire, smoke in distance. Black and white footage of Canso amphibian.~Sequence en route to White Horse from Norman Wells: aerial shots of snowy mountain peaks.
