Rowe talks about his career in radio broadcasting which began in 1939. He worked with Great Northwestern Telegraph (GNT), Canadian Press, and with VONF and its shortwave station VONH in Newfoundland. Rowe gives a detailed history of the beginnings of radio in Newfoundland and Canada's Maritime Provinces, including the establishment of the Canadian Marconi Company, the implications the sinking of the Titanic had on radio, and talk about all the early VO (Voice Of...) stations that existed.
