Opening intertitle reads "...Flow on forever, in thy glorious robe/ Of terror and beauty./ Yea flow on/Unfathomed and resistless... - Sigourney." Film opens with a shot of the Horseshoe Falls in the background, and the Union Jack flag planted in the foreground. Introductory title card presents "The falls of Niagara present to the world one of Nature's greatest marvels - a sublime spectacle from which the passage of time has not detracted." Extreme long shot of the Falls region follows, starting at the American Falls and panning right to the Horseshoe Falls. Attention is placed on the flow of the Niagara River above the Falls as it plunges "into the eternal thunder and chaos below." Point of view shots from the adjacent railings are shown, trying to emphasize the "feeling of colossal power" that is "the real secret of the beauty and terror of the Horseshoe Falls." The American Falls are described as having a "delicate and fragile" beauty in comparison, failing to inspire the same feeling in the same way as the Canadian Falls. A long shot of the American Falls is described as "one long curtain of lacework and woven foam." Tourists are shown standing at the base of the Falls, and the Maid of the Mist is shown docking, ready to receive new passengers. The river beyond the Falls is also a tourist attraction, as people gather at the railings straddling the shore to see the rapids. The single span steel bridge of the Grand Trunk Railway is shown with a train crossing over the tracks above the river. Queen Victoria Park, on the Canadian side of the Falls and created by the Ontario Government, is described as one of the most delightful parks with its fountains, gardens, paths, and walkways. Historic sites of interest in the Niagara region are highlighted. At Queenston Heights is the enormous monument to Sir Isaac Brock and the Laura Secord Memorial.~Final intertitle reads "Roll on majestic flood, in power and pride/ Which like a sea doth swell old ocean's sway... - Sigourney." Final shot is of a woman, head bowed to the Union Jack Flag in the foreground, with Niagara Falls in the background. <8mn 19s>
