Sixteenth program of a seventeen-part series.~Canadian veterans recall being busy attacking Mons when the first rumours of an armistice were heard along the front. Disbelief was the attitude of officers and men alike as they continued to push forward on November 10th.~On November 11th, when the ceasefire took place at 11 am, the Canadians were in possession of Mons.~Veterans describe casualities during the last hours of the war and the circumstances surrounding the death of Private Price, Canada's last casualty of World War I, just minutes before armistice.~The scene around the battle front at Mons is recalled by veterans at the time of the armistice and the celebrations in the streets of that city with the French civilians. Also, the victory parade by Canadian troops to the town square of Mons.~Veterans also recollect the victory activities elsewhere in France and England.~The remainder of the program tells of the activities of the 1st and 2nd Divisions, following the armistice, as the Allied troops continued to march to the Rhine. <1h>
