McGuigan is the first English-speaking cardinal in Canada, and he arrived back in Toronto yesterday from Rome where he was elevated to his office.~The congregation consists of fourty bishops and archbishops from Canada, Newfoundland, and the United States; over seven-hundred clergy; representatives from the government, the judiciary, and the armed services; and representatives from other religions.~During the ceremony the Most Reverent Francis P. Carroll, DD, the Bishop of Calgary, delivers the sermon; the Saint Michael's Cathedral Choristers, under the direction of the Reverent J.E.
