Eisenhower for the Allies.~Halton gives a brilliant and graphic description of his arrival in the ruined city of Berlin (the largest city ever to be taken by storm) with Tedder's party of aides and reporter. The ruin, he says, is too terrible and complete to gloat over. Halton describes the actual signing of the document. Keitel's aide weeps but is admonished by him. "Cheer up. You can make a fortune after the war writing a book "With Keitel in the Enemy Camp". Halton describes the official banquet which followed the surrender with the Russians as hosts. <15mn>Language:EnglishNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
