Two versions of a television news report about the rescue of four people injured in the crash of a commuter plane on 31 October 1991 into a hillside near the small community of Cobble Hill, near Duncan on Vancouver Island.~The six-seat Piper Aztec was operated by a Vancouver company to fly its employees into work every day in Victoria. The plane was on approach to Victoria airport in thick fog when it crashed. A signal from the plane's emergency locator transmitter was picked up at 7:30 am.~CHEK-TV news crews arrived when the rescue crews did and were able to get footage of the crash victims being rescued from a ravine at the bottom of a steep hill. The news crews also helped the rescuers locate survivors. A reporter and cameraman lowered themselves to the crash sit using ropes provided by the rescue teams.~The first report is about the results of the rescue efforts by mid-morning of the crash, when two people had been rescued. <3mn 18s>~This is followed by a similar four-minute version. <7mn 18s>
