Non-violence was a strong principle throughout her teaching career and her life. She recalls the unpopularity of advocating peace during the Cold War and describes the experience of visiting the Soviet Union at that time. She views the current Gulf War as a setback to those who believe in non-violence.~Hall expresses her views on genuine love for others and points to injustice as the root cause of war. She doesn't mind being labelled an idealist because she believes they are the ones who bring social change. <50mn>Language:EnglishNotes:Detailed holdings information: -
