The first contingent leaves for overseas service. Men of the 48th Highlanders Pipe Band lead parade as Canadian Expeditionary Force lads march along Queen Street towards Union Station and embarkation for overseas. Thousands line the parade route. Young boys march along with the soldiers, and Toronto police are prominent in keeping the march orderly. <1mn>
