McConachie talks about his early boyhood interest in aviation when he first saw a Junkers aircraft land at the Edmonton airport and he was offered a ride. He speaks about his training and earning a commercial pilot licence at the Edmonton Flying Club. Other topics include his first job flying experimental crows for a biology professor, his long-time mechanic Bud Sullivan, barn storming at country fairs to earn money, and hauling fish to southern cities.
