In a Quebec munitions plant more than 500 girls are working side by side with men to build 31 ton tanks for the war effort (WW II). Premier Adelard Godbout honours the best man and woman worker in the plant and tries his hand at building a tank himself. Thrilling tests on the proving ground show tanks at their best. Footage of Premier Godbout award the first P.Q. pennant (Perfect Quality - Province of Quebec) to officials of the tank factory for excellence in war work. Footage of Premier Godbout with Miss Mabel Brennan and W. Legare, the winning plant workers, wearing their P.Q. buttons. Footage of Godbout in overalls at a lathe with a woman worker. Footage of a girl operating a crane. Mrs. Marcel Marcotte working under a turret basket, and working above her is Miss Fernande Chaon, a former dressmaker (85% of the women working in the plant never saw a piece of machinery 4 months ago).
