Opening sequences of the Malahat Road in 1915 include excellent tracking footage of vintage cars, raising dust as they bounce along the gravelled highway as the road snakes through wooded canyons. Other noteworthy scenes include: picnickers on beach; various shots of Victoria landmarks such as the Legislative Buildings, Empress Hotel, Hatley Park; and swans on lake in Beacon Hill Park. Personalities seen include the Honourable Geddes; Lieutenant Governor W.C. Nichol inspecting a troop of Boy and Girl Scouts and Navy Cadets (1920); and Lieutenant Governor E.G. Prior officiating at a garden reception at Government House (1919).
