Series of 30-second Liberal Party campaign commericals for the 4 September 1984 election as follows: shot of grocery cart at cashier while narrator talks about the cost of campaign promises; shot of podiums marked Crosbie and Mulroney while narrator quotes them contradicting each other about the party platform; shot of deck of cards and joker card while voiceover quotes Mulroney and says "leadership is no joke"; two commercials on John Turner's trustworthiness about Canadian control of its energy resources and about jobs (there are two versions of the commercial concerning jobs); shot of pyramid of playing cards and narration about Mulroney as an untrustworthy leader; two ads about Mulroney's untrustworthiness on the Schefferville shutdown and taxation; French commercial featuring Turner and Jean Chrétien; two ads showing Turner and scenes of the leadership convention (cut start on both); three French ads with Turner and people on the street talking about the concerns of young people, farmers, and women; and an ad by Turner on the need for pension reform. <7mn 30s>
