Description:

In our expanding world is there a place for the individual who cares and can he or she make a difference? This episode focuses on four people who want to leave the world a better place. They feel responsible and each has taken a personal action.~They are: Alec Darrow, a refrigeration repairman who does volunteer work at a day nursery and works with new immigrants to Canada; Albert Sinskey, an artist and art teacher who wants the world to be able to communicate through art; Lois Reynolds, a teacher who has an adopted foster daughter in Korea; and Dr. Norman Allcott, a nuclear physicist who has left his work to found the "Peace Research Institute".~Davidson Dunton talks with Dr. David Savin, a professor of philosophy at the University of Toronto. He explains why these people have this altruistic sense.
