Television documentary on the Russian-born scientist Emanuel Velikovsky, author of "Worlds in Collision". Expounding his controversial theories on the history of the solar system, Doctor Velikovsky is seen lecturing university students, and is interviewed in his study at home. Film of geologically significant sites in Palestine and North America; clips of the Apollo moon explorations; graphs and still photographs illustrate Velikovsky's belief that the catastrophes described in the Old Testament, and in other historical documents, occured as the result of interplanetary cataclysmic events. The reaction of the scientific community to his views is discussed by Doctor [Laraby], editor of "Harper's Bazaar" and Doctor Berin [Barman], President of Statten Island Community College. Others interviewed or seen are: Doctor Motz, Department of Astronomy at Columbia University; Doctor Davis Carlysle, Research Associate at Texas University; Doctor C.J. Ransom, Physicist; Wynard Seismore, Department of Philosophy and Religion at Glasborough College; Velikovsky's wife, sculptress and musician; and Albert Einstein. <60mn>
