Inscribed in black letters is "Pan-American, Buffalo/1901". At the centre is a colour image with flags, an Indian and a woman.

This is a button from the Pan American Exposition in Buffalo, New York at which President William McKinley was assassinated.

The celluloid is badly cracked on recto and there are some sections missing. Badly rusted. Manufacturer's label is visible on verso.
