The first title reads, "Can all surplus vegetables for winter use. The cold pack method is most satisfactory. Preservative compounds are unwholesome". The film proceeds to show how to sterilize glass jars, and to prepare different vegetables for canning. The vegetables shown include beans (which use the same method as spinach and Swiss chard), beets, and tomatoes.
