A musical variety program entitled Put Victory First presented to encourage Canadians to invest in Canadian War Savings Bonds.~The show opens with Percy Faith and his orchestra playing a toast to the American Army Air Corps. Guest soloist Lucy Monroe sings Lover. The Percy Faith Orchedstra plays Music From Mexico.~Gail Patrick reads part of a letter written by a Canadian soldier, in hospital in England, to his wife at home in Quebec. Patrick then introduces the writer of the letter, Major Raoul [Audet] of Levis, Quebec, who lost both arms in battle. Barry Wood sings Stand Up and Fight from Carmen Jones. Wood introduces Richard Rodgers, who recalls how he started writing music at the age of fourteen.~Richard Rodgers tells of teaming up with Larry Hart. Their first hit was Manhattan. Followed by My Heart Stood Still. Oklahoma and Oh, What a Beautiful Morning. The lyrics of these songs are sung in part by Barry Wood. Percy Faith and his Orchestra play a medley of songs from Oklahoma, with lyrics by Lucy Monroe and Barry Wood.~Lucy Monroe sings Speak to Me of Love. Gail Patrick introduces Kay Francis and Walter Abel.~Walter Abel reads a poem written by Noel Coward about the RAF bombers flying over the English Channel en route to Germany, entitled "Lie in the Dark and Listen". Kay Francis tells of a personal experience while visiting an allied air base in Europe, about a flyer who had not come back and the emotional impact on his flying buddies.~The United Nations March of Russia, played by the Percy Faith Orchestra, followed by a marching song of the Free French, and finally, from Wales, the March of the Men of Harlech. The program concludes with the theme Don't Delya, buy a Bond. <90mn>
