General note:

Collection of published illustrated announcements for new Canadian postage stamps. Initially started as 'Illustrated Announcements' and used as wall posters which illustrated the new stamp issue. Later in 1956, the Post Office Department commenced issuing new issue brochure - the familiar PS14s - in addition to the posters. They ceased to exist after the last Christmas issue of October 25,1990. These were replaced by post cards entitled 'Presenting'. All posters are bilingual, starting in the late 1971's until 1989..
These files were organized and held by the Library of the former National Postal Museum (CPC). The files were transferred and maintained by the Library and later the Reference Services of the CPA
