BCTV is the first television station allowed inside a Mormon fundamentalist community called Bountiful, near Creston Valley, British Columbia. Clive Jackson reports in this three-part examination of the community's lifestyle, prompted by a current investigation of the school system and a sexual abuse trial in which one member faces charges of assaulting two of his wives, a son, a stepson and a stepdaughter.~1) Footage of this self-reliant community documents the Mormon dress code, patriarchal values, polygamous marriage practices, religious teachings, work and other activities.~2) Interviews include Church Bishop Winston Blackmore, resident Dalmon Oler and three of Dalmon Oler's five wives, who present their views on living in the community.~3) Additional interviews include a psychologist, an official of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, former members who have fled the community and five dissident church members who accuse Mormon leaders of manipulation and mind control. <30mn>
