Series documents Manson's career after retirement from the Canadian Forces. Included are speeches, addresses, presentations, notes, personal correspondence, business correspondence, technical briefings and maps.

The speeches document a wide variety of interests including Unisys Defence Systems, Trinity St. Andrew's United Church, the future of the defence industry in Canada, the Department of National Defence budget and defence spending. The business correspondence relates to his positions with Unisys Defence Systems, Paramax and Lockheed Martin Canada. The personal correspondence documents a wide range of activities including a project to develop an international peacekeeping school, retirement and the CF-104 Starfighter project. There is also material related to the 1991 Gulf War.

There are also weekly agenda and appointment books as well as pocket diaries for the period 1990 to 1997.
