Series relates to Manson's work as the program manager of the New Fighter Aircraft Program and consists of correspondence, organized newspaper clippings, printed material, media transcripts and photographs. The photos include two albums entitled respectively: 'Brigadier General Paul Manson: Program Manager, New Fighter Aircraft'; and 'CF-18, Number 138, September 1988'.

In addition, there are diaries or agenda books recording Manson' activities for the period 1977 to 1979. The diary for 1977 contains very detailed entries and includes two documents dated 24 August. The desk calendar for 1978 consists mainly of brief notations by date but there are also some detailed notes. The desk calendar for 1979 contains brief notations by date of appointment.
