This accession consists of textual central registry records created and/or maintained between 1958-1990 by the Canadian Council of Ministers for the Environment (CCME) in Winnipeg. The records include but are not limited to: minutes of the Annual General Meetings of the CCME, as well as the various sub-committees and task forces pertaining to forestry, water resources, pollution, air quality and research, etc.; reports pertaining to resource management (forestry, water resources, air quality, pollution, etc.); correspondence documenting liaison with universities, companies, and other bodies interested in resource management; summaries of various projects undertaken by the CCME pertaining to resource management; environmental analyses; etc. Also included are a number of published studies by the CCME on a wide range of topics pertaining to the environment and resource management.

It also contains approximately 53 reel-to-reel audio recordings of various proceedings of the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment in boxes 7, 8, 131.

Also, there are approximately 262 cassette tapes of various proceedings of the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment in boxes 130,131,144.

Finally, there is one 33 1/3 phonographic recording, "Of Cabbages and Kings or Who Took The World Apart? Man & Resources Program - CCREM", n.d. in box 145.

There are photographs, colour and black and white, in various sizes, in boxes 74, 94, 136, 137, and 162. Number of photographs - to be determined.

Also, there are approximately 23 microfilms (16mm) of Canadian Council of Resource Ministers proceedings, circa 1971-1973, in box 145. This will need to be investigated further.

In addition, there are 13 small boxes of microfiche relating to a wide variety of topics in box 145 (includes microfiche of Commission of Conservation Canada Report, Nos. 1-9, 1910-1918). This will need to be investigated further.

There are 7 film copies of "A Matter of Attitudes", produced by the CCME, n.d., in box 164. This will need to be investigated further.

In addition, there is one Video in box 94 [V-30 - Sony Video Tape for Helical Scan Video Recorders] documenting the CCME's Prairie Water Seminar, Regina, 1971, 44:30 minutes.
