The fonds consists of records illustrating the musical career of Albertine Morin-Labrecque: unfinished autobiography entitled Ma vie et mes souvenirs; honoris causa doctoral diploma; letter to her family; autograph manuscripts of musical works, including the opera Francine, the Ballet du Danube, the symphonic poem Le Jugement dernier and the Concerto pour deux pianos et orchestre; various writings; concert programmes.

Morin-Labrecque, Albertine, 1886-1957 : Born in Montréal, Quebec, Albertine Morin-Labrecque began to study piano at a very early age, and gave recitals in Canada and the United States starting in 1901. During the same period, she began courses in harmony, composition and singing, which she concluded in Europe, where she also performed in concert. On her return to Canada, she taught at the Conservatoire national in Montréal and the Université de Montréal. In addition to her many choral and piano works, she published educational manuals and monographs on musicians.
