This series consists of files dealing with Mr. Dick's appointments to Cabinet and Cabinet Committees, and his correspondence with Mr. Mulroney and other notables (Mila Mulroney, Senator Lowell Murray and other cabinet ministers). A number of files deal with two issues dear to Mr. Dick -- conflict of interest and cost cutting. As Minister of Supply and Services he strove for government efficiencies, which often were compromised by conflict of interest. In his last year of public office, Mr. Dick prepared a Cost Analysis Project to govern government spending, which is reflected in this series.
