She beats him up and he flees, locking her in the room in protest. That night, he returns with a lighted lantern to carry on some more. Meanwhile, she has broken out and is hiding behind some carpet. While re-lighting his lantern, he sets fire to the factory, is hurt and falls down a flight of stairs. The firemen arrive and she tells them where the "ripper" is.
