General note:

Accession consists of records deriving from the coordination and oversight of activities of the Crown Corporations Directorate, since integrated into a Program Sector organizational configuration since the mid-1990s. This accession consists of operational records related to reporting requirements, deletion of debts due to the crown, financial management (including audits, loans and advances, and corporate borrowing), legislation, privitization and investments and acquisitions. Specific Crown corporations included in this particular accession include the (Toronto) Queens Quay West Lands Corporation, Canadian Patents and Development Ltd., Eldorado Nuclear, Canada Livestock Feed Board, Petro Canada, Teleglobe, Canada Harbour Place, Canagrex, Canada Sports Pool, Loto Canada, Museum Construction, Canada Patents and General Development, Canadian Saltfish, Canadian Livestock, Defence Production, Arsenals Canada and Air Canada.
