Ottawa Symphony Orchestra : Founded as the Ottawa Civic Symphony Orchestra, the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra adopted its current name in 1976. Beginning in the early 1970s, the OSO presented annual series of concerts at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. It has performed with choirs including the Cantata Singers of Ottawa and the Ottawa Choral Society, under the baton of Clifford Hunt (1965-66), Nicholas Goldschmidt (1966-67), James Coles (1969-75) and Brian Law (1975-91), among others.
