The photographic series consists of approximately 323 b&w photographic prints and negatives which document various events organized by the Canadian Oral History Association between 1974 and 1994. These events include the founding conference at Simon Fraser University in 1974, the annual conference in 1975 at the Public Archives of Canada, the conference held in St. John's, Newfoundland, the 1984 conference in Winnipeg, and the conference in Edmonton. The photographs also document the official launch of the Guide to Oral History Collections in Canada, at the National Archives of Canada in 1994. The photographs generally depict various presenters at the conferences.
