Series consists of audio-visual material including of an episode from the "Jack Webster Show" featuring an interview with Margaret Wiebe, Secretary of the National Anti-Poverty Organization (NAPO) and Cecile Guay, President of the Federated Anti-Poverty Group of British Columbia. Also included are sound recordings featuring interviews conducted in 1981 by Doug Decker, a welfare advocate for Wesley Urban Ministries in Hamilton, Ontario. Interviewees include three women mother's on social assistance, Linda Orme, Director of Social Assistance Resource Services (SOARS), and Trudy Levins, Director of Focus for Change, a program afficliated with Mowhawk College in Hamilton, Ontario.
