Series consists of correspondence, memoranda, press releases, clippings, flyers, publications, and other documents relating to the Canadian Fair Play for Cuba Committee (FPCC), in which the Trotskyists -- particularly Vernel and Anne Olson -- played an instrumental role. Includes correspondence with various Cuban government agencies, the Cuban embassy in Ottawa, FPCC groups in the United States, and numerous Canadian sympathizers with the Cuban revolution. Also sheds light on FPCC promotional events, tours, and publications. In addition, the series contain a block of files devoted to the Canadian FPCC's and the Olson's involvement with the noted American black revolutionary Robert Williams and the latter's activities as an exile, first in Cuba and then in China.
