Telgmann, Oscar F. (Oscar Ferdinand), ca. 1855-1946 : Conductor, educator, composer, and violinist born in Germany, he began his musical studies in Canada, and formed a group called The Telgmann Concert Party with his brothers and sisters. In 1892 he founded the Kingston Conservatory of Music and School of Elocution, of which he was principal for over 25 years. Telgmann also formed the first Kingston Symphony Orchestra in 1912.

Telgmann, Mignon, b. 1898 : Daughter of Oscar Telgmann and violin teacher. Kingston, Ontario.
