An interview with Norman Clark, a South African serving with the Canadian troops. A presentation by Mrs. W.A. [McAdam] of British Columbia to the Lord Mayor of London, Sir George Wilkinson. Sir George Wilkinson replies.~Jan Masaryk expresses thanks on behalf of the Czech Red Cross in exile to Canadian Red Cross for their help. This ends with a short closing message in Czech.~Report by a CBC observer on a visit of John G. Winant to two regiments of the Canadian Corps overseas. Welcome by General McNaughton and a brief address by Winant are included.~Greetings from RCAF personnel to Canada: Jack Frazer of Montreal, Sergeant Harry Vernon of Winnipeg, Corporal T. Curry of Winnipeg, Corporal Lewis Cooper of Ottawa, L.A.C. Jim McQueen of Winnipeg, A.C. Joch West of Vancouver, Sergeant F. Caponski of Winnipeg, A.C. Simon Eddy of Winnipeg, and Corporal Don Welland of Winnipeg.~Masaryk's remarks begin as follows: "I left Canada, after a very very short visit to take up my duties as foreign minister to the Czechoslovak government in London. It was my privilege to fly the Atlantic in the delightful invigorating and reassuring company of your Billy Bishop, VC. During my fleeting stay in your terrific country I was once again impressed by its size, by its youth and vigour, and as far as the war is concerned its unity of purpose..."~McNaughton says, "It's a very great pleasure indeed to the Canadian Corps to have the privilege of welcoming Mr. Winant to our midst today and showing him something of the work which is going on in this period where we stand on guard and wait for the next move in the great Battle of Britain. We are fortunate too in having such a beautiful day to show you something of our troops."~Winant says, "It's good to come here and find Americans standing by as guardians of democracy. I'm particularly happy to do this both as your neighbour and your friend because my home is New Hampshire. You've got a great outfit." <30mn>
