The fonds represents Mr. Caulfield's work as a camera and sound man, interviewer, writer, editor, director and producer and includes dramatic productions and documentaries featuring artists, authors, musicians, crafts people, artisans, and includes social issues and journalism. Highlights include an interview with jazz legend Dave Brubeck, an interview with author Margaret Laurence, original and unique footage of artist David Milne. The collection also includes Valerie's Hill, Mr. Caulfield's first film.

Fonds consists of 28 film productions, four video (u-matic - 3/4 inch - and one-inch videos) and one sound recording. This material was produced by Paul Caulfield, other producers with Mr. Caulfield's involvement and independent producers.

Many of these works have received awards across North America and have been broadcast nationally and provincially on CBC Television, TV Ontario, Super-Channel, Bravo and Vision.

The fonds also includes some unique out-take material such as an interview with David Milne's widow. Some of the film elements in this fonds augment the National Archives' current holdings including original film elements (original negatives - A/B rolls) where we only hold prints and prints where we only hold elements.

Caulfield, Paul : Paul Caulfield has a varied communications background as a consultant, a writer, an editor, director and an award-winning television producer. His work has been broadcast nationally and provincially on CBC Television, TV Ontario, Super-Channel, Bravo and Vision. Many of these works have won awards at film festivals across North America.

Caulfield works as a senior consultant for Mirus Communications, a boutique communications consultancy, producing communications plans, corporate speeches, press releases, websites, annual reports, peer analyses, perceptions audits, corporate videos, and multimedia presentations.

He has provided financial marketing and strategic communications to a number of Canadian companies including: Sleeman Breweries, Clarica, Hydro One, Spar Aerospace, DuPont Canada, and Stuart Energy. In addition to ongoing investor relations program development and implementation, Paul has consulted in M&A situations, developed and executed integrated communications plans, and has advised on equity roadshows.

He is the monthly online investor relations columnist for PR Canada and the author of the report Under Construction: A Survey of Canada's Information Highway funded by Heritage Canada, an examination of emerging technologies in the information age. A graduate of the Journalism Program at Humber College, Caulfield also holds an Honours Degree in Fine Arts (Film) from York University and has successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course.
