Collection consists of a brochure for the sale of Grantham Hall at Drummondville, P.Q. The brochure provides descriptive text of the house and grounds, a directional map, and a photographic reproduction of the house. It was prepared by W. Ernest Bolton, real estate and financial broker, Montreal. Grantham Hall, also known as Comfort Hall, was the home of Frederick George Heriot, a founder of Drummondville. Heriot was a British army officer, who served as 2nd-in-command of the Canadian Voltigeurs in the War of 1812, and settled at Drummondville after the war. He later rose to the rank of Major-General.Today the grounds serve as the Drummondville Golf and Country Club.
