Collection consists of a preliminary plan and profile of the North Colchester Railway which was incorporated by Statutes of Nova Scotia, 53 Victoria, Chapter 64, authorized on 15 April 1890. This proposed railway was to run from a point on the Intercolonial Railway near Truro to either the harbour of Brule or Tatamagouche, 30 miles away. This plan and profile cover a portion of one route proposed, extending for about four miles along the Salmon River from a point on the Pictou Branch of the Intercolonial Railway.

Custodial history:

Collection is a gift of the British Records Association Records Preservation Section, BRA no. 1805. Provenance is unknown but the BRA received the material through the Public Records Office. Collection was dispatched in May 1982 from our London office to the National Archives.
