Hesson family : The Hesson family of Stratford, Ontario, consisted of Samuel Rollin Hesson, his wife Margaret Jane Hesson née Polley, and their five children: Flora T. Symons, Frederick Henry Hesson, Charles Ashton Hesson, Fannie G. Hesson and Bella Morgan. Samuel Rollin Hesson developed strong professional relationships with his children and their spouses. His son-in-law, Harry Symons, was a lawyer who often provided legal counsel for Hesson in their common business interests; Hesson's elder son Frederick Henry Hesson was, for a time, land agent in Brandon, Manitoba, where Hesson owned land; his younger son, Charles Ashton Hesson was a collector in the Inland Revenue Department in St. Catharines, Ontario; and his son-in-law, Greville Morgan, was a stockbroker in Toronto, Ontario, where he traded commodities for Hesson.
