Accession consists of additional records relating to Patrick Anderson and to his companion, Orlando Gearing. Included are two notebooks: a notebook entitled 'Canadian Notebook' documenting Anderson's visit to Canada 1973-1974, with notes on Montreal, Carleton University, Group of Seven paintings, a Thousand Island cruise, finances, etc.; and a notebook discussing various writers. There is correspondence consisting predominantly of letters to Orlando Gearing regarding financial matters, agreements, the settling of Anderson's estate and letters of condolence after Anderson's death in 1979; included are letters from P.K. Page, Michael Ballantyne, F.R. Scott, Oxford University Press, Sheila Watson of Bolt and Watson, the CBC, Michael Macklem of Oberon Press, Kraus Reprint Co., Peter Yapp, Peggy Jacobsen, Marjory Whitelaw, Neufville Shaw, and from Glenn Clever regarding a proposed biography of Anderson. The correspondence addressed to Anderson includes letters from George Woodcock, Northrop Frye, P.K. Page, Norman Hidden of Workshop Press Ltd. and Peggy Jacobsen. There are also copies of outgoing letters from Anderson to Glenn Clever. Finally, the additional material includes a few royalty statements, an agreement, clippings and biographical and publicity material.
