CFMT International : CFMT-TV was licensed in 1979 as Channel 47 in Toronto and was Canada's first multilingual broadcaster. The station was purchased in 1985 by Rogers Broadcasting Limited. The station steadily increased its viewership and broadcast its signal into other Ontario markets including London and Ottawa. CFMT-TV produced 22 hours of original language programming per week and broadcasted 60% of its programming in languages other than English or French. In 2002, the name of the station was changed to OMNI.1.
