The articles in the folios cover the following subjects: national parks; wild life; and recreational activities in Canada, such as fishing, trail riding, and climbing. Many of the articles are geared towards the tourism industry and encourage people to come and visit Canada's national parks. Some of the articles or newspaper clippings are stamped and dated by the Department of the Interior's various branches. This is because their branches, particularly the National Parks Branch, are often credited with the accompanying photographs or are pertinent to the article.

Note on the state of conservation:

Folios are fragile; some covers have tears and pieces coming off of them.

Custodial history:

Accession 1974-366 originally came with seventy (70) albums, as well as an assortment of loose photographs that were to total 17,729 photographs. There are approximately 800 photos currently not accounted for in the photo albums, which creates a total of ca. 1000 - 2000 loose photographs from this collection.
