Sub-series consists of records relating to the role of the Clerk's office in managing the leasing and sale of lands of all types, including reserve lands (Crown, Clergy, Military or other reserve lands) and Jesuit Estate lands. Records relating to leases include reports and proceedings, a list of petitions for lease, rent rolls and schedules of clergy reserve leases. Other records include: a register of abstracts of warrants issued by various Governors along with texts of some warrants issued to the Receiver General; an account of cash held in the Provincial Secretary's office for payment of fees on patents not yet issued (this volume has been mistakenly labelled "Upper Canada"); an account book relating to the administration of Jesuit Estate lands and a transcript of minutes of proceedings of the Commissioners for managing Jesuit Estates.
